During a pre-treatment consultation, you will be shown how to adapt your massage to suit the needs for a range of clients. You will gain experience performing massage movements on a range of clients. This course follows the National Occupational Standards. It also covers anatomy & physiology, contra-indications and contra-actions, skin conditions, preparing for the treatment, massage techniques and a full body massage routine. Dermaplaning Course Course duration: 1 day Practical Course price: £230 inc VAT Entry requirement: No pre-requirements Qualification: International Beauty Association Dermaplaning offers deep exfoliation removing dead skin cells from the upper layer of the surface of the skin using a surgical scalpel. This gentle ‘shaving’ of the skin surface can also remove fine vellus hair (fuzz) from the face giving a renewed and glowing appearance to the skin. Dermaplaning is only completed on the face and is not used to shape or remove brow hair. Perfect for those with dry, mature or congested/problematic skin to give clearer, smoother skin. Ideal for those unable to receive abrasive forms of exfoliation like microdermabrasion; such as those with very sensitive skin, redness, rosacea, visible facial veins, or otherwise contra- indicated to other treatments such as chemical peels e.g., pregnant clients.
